JANIE NATHANS is a native Houstonian who grew up in Spring Branch.  She attended beautiful Trinity University in San Antonio to get a BS in Business Administration.  She is married, active in her church, and a new "honorary grandmother."

After 40 years in the tax business and 18 years in the financial services industry, she decided to retire and put into practice the retirement planning ideas she advocated for her clients.

She sold both the tax and investment practices to Lori Rust, CPA, so you can continue getting the best of both worlds in one place.  You will find Lori to be qualified, organized, personable, and ready to help in all areas of your financial planning.

LORI RUST is a native Texan who grew up in Dallas.  She graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a degree in education.   After teaching for several years, she and her family moved to Houston.  She attended the University of Houston, worked in private and public accounting, and became a CPA in 1997.

Lori has used her teaching skills in the world of accounting by becoming a QuickBooks ProAdvisor to help her small business clients with all their bookkeeping needs.  Having a solid knowledge of financial reporting and tax laws helps her to prepare accurate tax returns for businesses while maximizing income tax savings.

Lori especially enjoys helping individuals with tax planning and she prepares tax returns to produce the best possible tax outcome each year.  She has experience with all types of income tax returns, including estates and trusts.

Lori has been in financial services since 2006 and she is affiliated with her broker-dealer H.D. Vest Investment ServicesSM in Irving, Texas.  Because she is both a CPA and an investment advisor, she can use this blended knowledge to look at the total financial picture for each of her clients and help them to reach all their monetary goals.
